Notice the overlaps. Some measurements fall within more than one row. These are the brand’s published ranges, not a size recommendation calculated for your body. If two rows look plausible, compare your waist too and ask the brand to confirm the fit before ordering.
How to measure without making it complicated
You need a flexible measuring tape, a mirror and somewhere to write two numbers. Measure over thin clothing or ordinary underwear, rather than thick trousers. Stand naturally and avoid pulling the tape tightly enough to compress your body.
Circle the fullest part of your hips and seat. Use the mirror to check that the tape stays level at the back.
Measure where you normally wear your underwear, as the brand instructs. Keep your stomach relaxed.

If your tape uses centimeters, divide by 2.54 to get inches. For example, 96.5 cm is approximately 38 inches. Keep a decimal place while checking a boundary rather than rounding away a difference that could matter.

When your waist and hips suggest different sizes
EverLeakProof advises following the hip measurement when waist and hips fall into different sizes. Its chart also suggests sizing up or considering a high-waisted style if the waistband feels more fitted around a wider midsection.
Those instructions need a little judgment together. If your hips suggest one row but your waist sits well outside its range, ask support about the cut. Going up repeatedly can create room at the waist while leaving the legs too loose. A different style may make more sense.
A quick fit check when the package arrives
Read the current hygiene and exchange conditions before trying garments on. Once you can check the fit in accordance with those instructions, pay attention to how the pair feels when sitting and moving, not just standing in front of a mirror.
